Materials
Three-layer construction: 40D face fabric, hydrophilic membrane rated 20,000mm head and 20,000g/m² breathability, tricot backer. Three-layer rather than 2.5 because a 2.5 layer coating wears off the inside where a pack rubs, and then it is a bin bag.
Care
Wash it. A dirty shell wets out faster than a clean one — this is the single most common reason people think a jacket has failed. Use a technical wash, no fabric softener, and tumble dry warm to reactivate the DWR.
